To purchase PLI for your business entity or coverage for services that you deliver as a kinesiologist, please see details below.
Professional Liability Insurance for Kinesiology services
The Professional Liability Insurance (PLI) that you have in place through the CSEP program provides protection for services that are within your scope of practice as a CSEP-CPT or CSEP-CEP. Any Kinesiology services that you provide are not covered unless you also purchase separate Professional Liability Insurance for Kinesiologists.
In Ontario, Registered Kinesiologists must have insurance in place in order to practice. CSEP offers a coverage extension for Registered Kinesiologists that meets and exceeds the professional liability requirements set out by the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (COKO).
In Québec, CSEP-CPTs and CSEP-CEPs practicing Kinesiology with the Fédération des Kinésiologues du Québec (FKQ) are also eligible to purchase this coverage extension.

Adding an "Additional Insured" to your CGL policy
If you lease or rent space from a business to conduct your work, or if you contract your professional services to a business (for example, a fitness centre, community centre, or other), you may be asked by that facility to add their business name and address to your Individual Commercial General Liability (CGL) policy as an “Additional Insured”.
Adding an Additional Insured to your CGL policy provides limited liability insurance coverage to the third party Additional Insured (e.g.: landlord) but only as it relates to General Liability resulting from your operations / occupancy. Note that any Additional Insured is required to carry their own CGL insurance.
The CGL policy is for individuals only. If you operate a business and have other professionals delivering services for or on behalf of your business name, an individual CGL policy is not sufficient. Please contact our broker, BMS, at 1-844-517-1371 or [email protected], to discuss your business insurance needs.
Please contact BMS Canada Risk Services at if you have any questions.
- Additional Insured (up to 15 business names)
To purchase this option, please select "Additional Insured" above for the desired membership year, and then click the "Add to cart" button.
